Firstly my apologies to Lewisham Islam Centre and Crofton for this late report. But never the less this must be said - For thoes of you who did not attend this final where were you? - you missed something special - a great entertaining,sporting yet highly competitive match.
The teams were lead out by the match officals, lined up in front of the crowd & in the true tradition of the'respect campagin' greated each other the 3 officals and their spectators- Lewisham went 2 - 0 up with Crofton pulling the match level in the 2nd half forcing the game into extra time. The match was competivly fought over both teams were evenly matched - with both sides going close before finally Lewisham scoring the winning goal - Both teams were an absoult credit to themselves, Junior Football and the LKB and was probably one of the best cup finals witnessed for a number of years.
Both teams had fantastic support making for an electric atmosphere.
Although Crofton lost the final, there were no looses that night - thanks to both teams who played excellent entertaining football - the only loosers were the spectators who missed this final. Well done to both clubs
